On December 28, 2007, the heavy media separation test for the concentration of Lithium ore has succeeded at Lijiagou Lithium Mine (LLM). In comparison with traditional flotation process, the heavy media separation process is more advanced. It will not be affected by the cold weather so that the period of production can be greatly extended to improve annual output capacity and to reduce the cost. Moreover, the heavy media separation process is environmentally safe that can promote sustainable mining development in LLM.
